St. Mark Knights of Columbus Council 12654 was founded in 2000. The Council members work closely with St. Mark Catholic Church and organizations and businesses in Huntersville and surrounding communities, providing volunteer services and funds for various projects.  Council members and their families focus on performing charitable works and helping those in need.  Though the organizations served are many a major effort is made to help mentally retarded children throughout the local area through Operation LAMB(Least Among My Brethren) and Special Olympics.  The Knights and their families participate in over 40 programs involving Church, Family, Youth, Community and Council.
