COLLECTING FOR OPERATION LAMB – ALL ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE

 

As a component of the KofC ‘day of service’, the Knights will again be collecting for Operation LAMB (Least Among My Brethren) to benefit disabled kids in our community.   We will be soliciting at four Food Lion locations this year, three in Huntersville and one in Cornelius.  Sign ups for the Saturday May 22nd shifts can be made on line thru the church website, and will be in two hour shifts starting at 9 AM at each store.   Parishioners, families and friends are invited to staff these venues and assist the Knights in this special outreach

MAY 2010 RACE WEEK - KNIGHT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

 

Shuttle bus & tram drivers are needed for race week at Charlotte Motor Speedway. There are a few slots still available. The more time each St. Mark Knight contributes, the more money comes back to the council. Please consider spending time on this very important fundraiser. Notes: 1.) Partial driving shifts are welcome and can be added to the bottom section of each day on the sign-in log. 2.) Bus driver training is available for first time drivers.

CLERGY APPRECIATION DINNER – SEATS ARE LIMITED

 

The Year Of The Priest” is the sacred word from Pope Benedict XVI and the Vatican for 2010.  Join us at our very own “Clergy Appreciation Dinner” sponsored by The Knights of Columbus, honoring all the men that have served St. Mark Catholic Church and its Parishioners.  The dinner will be held in the Monsignor Joseph A. Kerin Family Center on Friday, May 21st at 7:00pm.  Tickets will be available for purchase after individual Masses and from the parish office after May 3, 2010. Dinner will be $30 per person with a limit of 280 tickets to be sold. See the May 9th bulletin for more details.

The St. Mark KofC Council is pleased to report that the following Brother Knights entered into full Knighthood by making their Third Degrees on Saturday, April 24th:

PARISH-WIDE YARD SALE – MARK YOUR CALENDAR!!

 

The Knights of Columbus will be conducting its first ever parish-wide yard sale event.  The proceeds will benefit numerous church programs and ‘Room at the Inn’. This is a great opportunity to contribute to so many charitable works and at the same time clean out your basements, attics and garages.

 

Contributions details: Drop off date: June 19th-23 at the Parish Hall. Please bring only items in excellent to good condition. No clothes will be accepted. Electronic items must be working. Battery powered devices must include batteries.

 

Yard sales details: The event itself will be held the last weekend of June. Preview night is scheduled on Friday, June 25th and the event itself on Saturday, June 26th 7AM – 2PM.
